... Respondents This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Mr.K.Varadhakamaraj, learned counsel for the Appellant and Mr.P.Sankara Narayanan, learned counsel for the second Respondent are present before this Court.

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal had been filed by the

Appellant/Claimant for enhancement. The Tribunal awarded a sum of Rs.1,35,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Five Thousand Only) as compensation for the injuries suffered by the Claimant.

2. The second respondent/Insurance Company entered into an agreement whereby, the appellant agreed to receive enhanced sum of Rs.1,00,000/-, (Rupees One Lakh Only) in full quit, over and above amount awarded by the Tribunal.

3. It was agreed that the appellant/claimant is entitled to full enhanced sum of Rs.1,00,000/- in addition to Rs.1,35,000/-, as awarded by the Tribunal.

4. The second respondent/Insurance Company is directed to deposit the agreed amount within a period of four weeks from today.

5. On such deposit, the appellant is entitled to withdraw the entire enhanced amount of Rs.1,00,000/-. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition, if any, is closed.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement.
