Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2015 and thereby direct the respondents to issue free house site patta land to the petitioner in Survey No. 75/5, Madhakadipet Village, Villianoor Taluk, Puducherry District which was exclusively allocated by the respondent Department for issuance of free house site patta to the petitioner and other beneficiaries, who belong to Adi Dravida Community. The petitioner, along with others have been approaching the respondents for quite sometime seeking free house site patta. Earlier, they made a representation on 14.10.2015 alleging that pattas have been issued to wrong persons instead of genuine beneficiaries. The said representation was followed by another representation on 03.11.2015.

As the above said representations have not been disposed of, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

Though certain allegations have been raised in the representations made, this Court is not willing to go into the same as the prayer sought is only for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.11.2015 for the purpose of issuing free house site patta in respect of Survey No. 75/5, Madhakadipet Village, Villianoor Taluk, Puducherry District, which was exclusively allocated by the respondent Department for issuance of free house site patta to the petitioner and other beneficiaries, who belong to Adi Dravida Community.

Accordingly, the 2nd respondent, before whom the representation dated 03.11.2015 is pending, is hereby called upon to pass appropriate orders on the said representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
