ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register FIR in CSR No.204 of 2016 dated 19.06.2016 on the file of the respondent police.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent/State.

On a reading of the petitioner's complaint dated 19.06.2016, there appears to be a money dispute amongst the petitioner and his estranged wife and family members. Taking into account the nature of allegation, the entire prosecution essentially appears to be civil in nature. Hence, no positive direction can be issued to the police to register an FIR. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
