Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to return the original driving license (DL.No.TN27 Z 19950000471) to the petitioner forthwith.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents reported that the enquiry proceedings was initiated under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicle Act and opportunity to the petitioner is afforded. The petitioner on the date of enquiry appeared and sent a representation on the date of enquiry and seeking extension of time to submit his explanation.

3. In the above fact, this writ petition is disposed of on the following:- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(i) The petitioner herein is directed to participate in the enquiry and submit his explanation within a period of one week. (ii) On such receipt of said explanation, the respondent shall complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from the date of completion of the enquiry.
