Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the Appeal Petition filed by the petitioner dated 03.09.2015 and to revoke the order of suspension issued by the 2nd respondent in No.DIS/CON.199 dated 23.07.2015 and to re-instate the petitioner into service, within a time frame.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The case of the petitioner is that while he was serving as a Branch Manager in respondent Bank, he was placed under suspension on 23.07.2015 without providing any opportunity to the petitioner to explain his case and without adducing any reasons. Aggrieved by the order, he has preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent dated 03.09.2015. Since the 1st respondent has not passed any order within a reasonable time, the petitioner is before this court by way of this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Heard Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Sethuraman learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this court directs the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 03.09.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
