Seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the case on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner on 19.03.2015, she has come up with this petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.

3. The petitioner/defacto complainant is the wife and she has made allegations against her husband. The Police cannot directly register the case because the matter is normally sent to the Social Welfare Officer for enquiry.
