ORDER
By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 07.04.2026. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are in continuous and uninterrupted possession of lands measuring 1.32 acres in Survey No.389 and 1.92 acres in Survey No.402/2 which is situated at Tharapadavedu Village. As per the records of the Revenue Department, the aforesaid lands continue to be classified as "Inam" land. The 1st petitioner has established a small kiosk on a portion of the property. Recently, in December 2025, certain persons having no manner of right over the property entered a portion of the land and attempted to encroach upon the same.
Hence, the petitioners herein, along with the members of the general public made several representations to the respondents 1 to 3 regarding the alleged land grabbing by the private respondents 4 to 17, and the same is under investigation. Subsequently, the petitioners made a representation dated 07.04.2026 to the respondents. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 4 to 17 herein is dispensed with. 5.In view of the above, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2026, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to both the petitioners as well as the private respondents, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P No.20548 of 2026 is ordered.
