Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2023 and pass any such further or other orders as deemed fit and proper by this Hon'ble Court.

Yasin, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Shunmugasundram, learned Advocate General, assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Annai Food Products Private Limited is selling their unregulated products to the fair price shops. A complaint is filed to that effect. Even under the Right to Information Act, the information is provided that Annai Food Products Private Limited has not been given any permission by the Standing Committee to sell their unregulated products in the fair price shops.

3. The petitioner has not given a particular instance of the said Annai Food Products Private Limited (Annai Masala) selling their unregulated products in the fair price shops. The reply given under the Right to Information Act is only to the question as to whether the said Annai Food Products Private Limited has been given any permission by the Standing Committee or not. It does not depict the sale of unregulated products. Not a single instance is put forth in the

writ petition.

4. The petition cannot be entertained on the basis of such vague allegations. Moreover, the said Annai Food Products Private Limited is also not made a party.

5. For all these reasons, the writ petition is dismissed. In case, specific instances are brought forward, then, the petitioner may approach the authorities. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 19.09.2023 Index :
