According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Physical Education Teacher in the year 1969 and carried out his duty to the satisfaction of his higher authorities. However, during the period between 1987 to 1994, he suffered with mental illness and he was taking treatment at Mental Hospital, Villupuram. After recovery from illness, he was permitted to join duty on 22.02.2000.

2. The petitioner would further state that he was permitted to retire from service on 30.04.2000. Two days prior to the date of retirement i.e. on 28.04.2000, he was removed from service. Challenging the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 10.05.2000. Since no action was taken, he sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 03.06.2015. But, so far no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

filed.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is permitted to give a fresh representation to the second respondent, along with a copy of this order, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent, on receipt of the said representation is directed to consider and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks thereafter.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
