Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take appropriate actions to remove all the encroachment made in stream S.Nos.139/1B, 133/2 and 110/2 and gracing waste land comprised in S.No.138/3 by all the encroachers, including the road laid on the stream.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.V.P.Dillibabu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, for respondents 1 to 7.

2. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, accepts that S.Nos.131/1B, 133 and 110 are Odai and 138/3 is Meikkal land. Upon instructions, learned State Government Pleader submits that action would be taken for removal of the encroachment, in accordance with law, expeditiously.

3. In view of the said statement, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
