DATED : 07.04.2015

CORAM

THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE P.N.PRAKASH Crl.OP No.8633 of 2015 Karuppiah ... Petitioner Vs State by:

The Inspector of Police, Thalaivasal Police Station, Salem District.

... Respondent Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Jayakumar For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Additional Public Prosecutor

ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. This petition has come up today for admission. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and I have also perused the records carefully. It is seen that a counter case has also been filed.

3. In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner can be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the first respondent police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the first respondent for interrogation and enquiry.

4. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
