Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to constitute a special team of police with the help of revenue officials and to secure all the movable and immovable assets purchased and stood in the name of the respondent No.13 and his associates to settle the looted amounts from the petitioner referred by the petitioner.

ORDER

This petition has been filed directing the respondents 1 and 2 to constitute a special team of police with the help of revenue officials and to secure all the movable and immovable assets purchased and stood in the name of the respondent No.13 and his associates to settle the looted amounts from the petitioner referred by the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is also one of the accused has moved this writ petition seeking for a direction for formation of SIT to secure all the movable and immovable properties of the accused.

3. The allegations against the accused is that they collected deposits from various persons to the tune of Rs.45 crores and defaulted. Hence, complaints are lodged and FIR in Cr.No.5 of 2019 was registered. It is the grievances of the petitioner that the investigation agencies have not identified the properties of the main accused, whereas, the properties of the others have been proceeded.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the DSP, Tanjavur was in-charge and now, he has identified the properties of the main accused and proposal has been sent to the Government for attachment on 27.06.2025.

5. Such view of the matter, let the investigating officer complete the investigation expeditiously and identify other properties of all other accused and ensure that all the properties be attached by the process of law. 3/6
