O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Government Pleader (i/c.) appearing for respondent nos.1 to 5.
2.The case of the petitioner is that respondent no.6 has encroached and put up illegal construction on irrigation canal in the public sector in Survey No.47/2, 13 feet, Balaji Avenue, Chikkarayapuram, Chennai 600 069. Being aggrieved due to this fact, the petitioner preferred a representation dated 22.04.2019, which is addressed to the Collector, Collector Office, Kancheepuram, Kancheepuram District. A copy of the said representation has also been sent to the Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District and other officials. The prayer of the petitioner is that the said representation be directed to be considered expeditiously.
3.The learned Government Pleader (i/c.) stated that the proper authority to consider the representation is the Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District, who is respondent no.3.
4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, we direct respondent no.3, Tahsildar, Pallavaram Taluk, to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2019, after giving notice to respondent no.6, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
