Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus, to direct the third respondent to consider the representation dated 10.4.2014 of the petitioner, regarding the petitioner promotion as Dy.B.D.O by placing the petitioner in the appropriate place in the panel of extension officers in Tiruvannamalai District Unit.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.4.2014.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that though the writ petitioner is eligible for promotion and his right of promotion is denied wrongfully. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents in support of the counter statement filed by the second respondent states that the writ petitioner is not qualified for the grant of promotion. May that it be, it is the duty of the respondents to provide a communication to the writ petitioner in respect of his representation submitted on 10.04.2014. The learned counsel further submits that the representation submitted by the writ petitioner was not looked into and till today the writ petitioner has not received any reply in this regard.

4.Thus, without going in to the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 10.4.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
