Prayer: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.1,32,666/- (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Six Only) along with interest at the rate of 24% per annum from the date of bill till the date of realization.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay a sum of Rs.1,32,666/- (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Six Only) along with interest at the rate of 24% per annum from the date of bill till the date of realization.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner Firm is a Contractor and is engaged in the business of vehicle body building and repair works, including fabrication and maintenance of buses, trucks. The petitioner Firm entered into a work Contract with the third respondent and after completing the entire work, the petitioner raised a bill dated 03.06.2022 for a sum of Rs.1,32,666/-. However, the respondents have failed to settle the amount, thereby, the
petitioner made representations dated 07.11.2025, 15.12.2025, 12.01.2026 and 17.04.2026, however, no action was taken. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.04.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
5. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
