Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.J.Pothiraj, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the petitioner herein/first respondent in the writ petition would submit that this petition has been filed seeking to delete the name of the first respondent in the writ petition, since he is only a formal party and not necessary party. 2.According to the learned Special Government Pleader what is challenged in the writ petition is only an order passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police and therefore, the first respondent in the writ petition, viz., The Principal Secretary to Government, Home (Police VI) Department, has been impleaded unnecessarily. 3.When the matter is called for hearing, none represented the writ petitioner.

4.In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this petition is allowed. The name of the first respondent in the writ petition, viz., The Principal Secretary to government, Home (Police VI) Department, shall stand removed from the array of respondents in the writ petition.
