ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Special Court for trial of SC/ST Cases, Perambalur, to consider the petitioner's bail application sympathetically and pass orders on merits on the same day of his surrender, in connection with Cr.No.62 of 2026, pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. The petitioner had engaged the de facto complainant to lay a pathway to his field and he had also hired the tractor belonging to the de facto complainant. However, he failed to pay the hire charges of Rs.13,500/- for more than a year. When the de facto complainant demanded the payment of the said amount, the petitioner called him to his filed and, in the course of the altercation, slapped the de facto complainant thrice with a slipper and abused him using prohibitory words.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case.

5. In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the SC/ST Cases, Perambalur to consider the petitioner's bail application, preferably on the same day of his surrender, in connection with Crime No. 62 of 2026 on the file of the respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. The petitioner shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order.
