ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent Police not to harass the Petitioner.

2.It is seen, in this case, the petitioner is the father-in-law of the third respondent/defacto complainant. Due to family dispute between them, the third respondent lodged a complaint, which was assigned CSR No.150 of 2026. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner was called for enquiry. He appeared for enquiry before the 2nd respondent police, thereafter, according to the petitioner, under the guise of complaint, he was harassed and forced to arrive at settlement with the third respondent.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first and second respondent submitted that the petitioner appeared for enquiry and undertook to appear again. Thereafter, he had not appeared and filed this petition.

4.Considering that the dispute is a family dispute. This Court is of the view that if the presence of the petitioner is required for enquiry, summons to be issued for his appearance. In any event, the enquiry in CSR No.150 of 2026 will be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
