O R D E R
With the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard Mr.K.Myilsamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with an innocuous prayer praying to forbear the respondents authorities from disconnecting agricultural electricity service connection bearing S.C.No.312-009-19 in respect of petitioner property comprised in S.No.75/2-A situated at North Shankaramanallur Village, Maduthukulam Taluk, Tiruppur District.
4. It is needless to state that if there is any illegality or violation committed by the petitioner, then the respondent Board is entitled to take action in accordance with the provisions of the Electricity Distribution Code and other Regulations.
5. The petitioner's apprehension is that the respondents will disconnect the electricity supply, without issuing notice. The apprehension of the petitioner is baseless, since prior to disconnection, definitely notice has to be issued.
6. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12/11/2015 and in the event, the fourth respondent is of the view that there is any violation committed by the petitioner, in respect of the said agricultural service connection, it is open to the fourth respondent to take action in accordance with law.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
