Order This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent to dispose of petitioner's online Application for patta Transfer.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that originally the property comprised in S.F.No.72/4H, measuring an extent of 13 1⁄2 cents sitauted in Neivanai Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi District, has been acquired by the petitioner through a Sale Deed dated 18.03.2024. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 22.08.2024 for a patta transfer. Since the said application has not been considered, this Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.
3. Learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that owing to a pending civil dispute concerning the subject property, the petitioner's application was rejected vide order dated 27.08.2024.
4. In response, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the underlying civil suit was referred to the Lok Adalat, wherein the parties arrived at a compromise, culminating in an award dated 21.04.2017

Addressing this submission, the learned Government Counsel contended that a copy of the Lok Adalat award was not presented to the respondents at the time of considering the online patta application. He further submitted that the petitioner's request would be considered afresh only upon the submission of a new application.
6. Heard both sides and also perused the materials available on record.
7. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh online application for a patta transfer within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, duly enclosing the Lok Adalat award dated 21.04.2017. Upon receipt of such application, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and effect the mutation of patta within a further period of one week thereafter.
8. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
