This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2026 and consequently direct the respondents to disburse the arrears and movement to the next level (Level 11 to

12) with monetary benefits payable under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) from the date of eligibility.

Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2026 and consequently direct the respondents to disburse the arrears and movement to the next level (Level 11 to 12) with monetary benefits payable under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) from the date of eligibility."

2. The petitioner was one of the faculty members employed in Erode Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, who retired from service on 31.05.2025. The petitioner would submit that the faculty members working in Government College have been given timely promotion under CAS, however, such a benefit has not been extended to the petitioner. He would further submit that though he was given upward movement in his career from Level 10 to Level 11, however, he was not paid the monetary benefits payable to him. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 30.03.2026, requesting respondents to pay him the arrears and movement to the next level with monetary benefits under CAS. However, the said representation has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
