Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to prevent the encroachment of the 5th respondent other then the specified area for vegetable market an extent of 78 cents comprised in Survey No.108 /68 in U.Keerannur village and bounded on north by Salem road West by Juplie Street, East by Vetnari Hospital, South by Sriranga Udayar Land Villupuram District.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.G.Ranganathan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.A.K.Rajaraman, learned counsel for respondent 5.

2. The writ petition is filed seeking a direction against the respondents to prevent encroachments in the writ land.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that survey would be conducted on 21.08.2023 and as per the survey, if any encroachment exists, further action would be undertaken.

4. In view of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.20046 of 2018 is closed.
