(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 430 and 379 of I.P.C read with Section 21 (1), Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulation) Act, 1957 in Crime No.1474 of 2020 on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was transporting 1/2 unit of river sand in Bolero Truck Plus, vehicle bearing Reg.No.TN50 S3737. The petitioner who is the owner of the vehicle has abandoned the vehicle and fled away when the vehicle was intercepted by the respondent Police.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has now come out with the scope of seeking Anticipatory Bail.
