[ Respondent] Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's Applications dated 05.11.2015 (dealt with in R.Nos.70366 to 70368 /A3/2015 respectively) for the grant of Contract Carriage Maxi Cab Permit in respect of Vehicle Nos.TN-20/BU-8509, TN72/AF-2563and TN-22/BR-7846 respectively forthwith. Mr.A.Rajaperumal, GA C O M M O N O R D E R Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.A.Rajaperumal, learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petitions are taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The writ petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondent herein to consider and dispose of the applications dated 05.11.2015 of the petitioners herein to issue Maxi Cab Stage Carriage Permits forthwith to them.

3. The petitioners have applied for issue of Maxi Cab Permit on purchasing the Maxi Cabs on 05.11.2015. It is the contention of the petitioners that though the applications were https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

received and the respondent assigned R.Nos.70366 to 70368 / A3/2015 respectively respectively, the same were not considered and orders passed either granting the permit or rejecting the same. Hence, the petitioners have approached this Court.

4. Without going into the merits of the case, these writ petitions are disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the applications of the petitioners for issuing Maxi Cab Stage Carriage Permit and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
