O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 379, 430 IPC in Crime No.662 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The petitioner is the owner of the lorry bearing Registration No.TN-20-CU-1932, in which, three unit of Gravel sand was illegally transported.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the driver of the vehicle was arrested and released on bail, whereas, this petitioner, who is the owner of the vehicle, has nothing to do with the crime.

4.However, from the First Information Report as well as the petition, this Court understand that the petitioner is doing business in gravel sand and he is a stockist. Though he says that he has maintained proper bill, there is nothing to show that he is authorized to store the gravel sand. Hence, the petition for Anticipatory Bail is dismissed.
