ORDER

The order impugned dated 01.10.2013 rejecting the claim of the petitioner for grant of financial relief under the Chief Minister's Farmers Security Scheme is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2.The petitioner states that he is an agricultural coolie and the entire family is doing the agricultural work. The father of the petitioner was a member of the Chief Minister's Farmers Security Scheme and therefore, he is entitle to receive the benefits under the scheme. On 25.10.2012 the father of the petitioner was died in a road accident at Gengabrampatti and a criminal case was registered before Uthangarai Police Station. The petitioner submitted an application to grant the benefit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

under the Farmers Security Scheme and it was rejected. Thus, the petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition. 3.The petitioner has stated that the age of the father was wrongly stated as 67 years in the death certificate. He was aged about 56 years at the time of death. However, the said fact is denied by the respondents by stating that even as per the family card, the age of the father of the petitioner in the year 2005 was 60 years. He died in the year 2012. Therefore, he was 67 years at the time of death. The family card was issued in the year 2005, when the age of the father of the petitioner has been clearly stated as 60 in the year 2005, there is no reason to accept the claim of the writ petitioner.

4.The scheme was implemented through G.O.Ms.No.265, Revenue Department dated 10.09.2011, as per the scheme, the eligible persons upto the age of 65 years alone is entitle to avail the benefit of the scheme.

5.In view of the fact that the father of the petitioner was aged about 67 years, even as per the family card produced, there is no reason to interfere with the order impugned in this writ petition and consequently, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
