O R D E R This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.33 of 2013, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Tittakudi.

2.When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that after committal proceedings, the case was submitted to the learned Principal District Judge, Cuddalore and the same was numbered as S.C.No.192 of 2018 and was made over to the learned III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Vridhachalam and thereafter the same was transferred to II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chidambaram. He further submitted that some of the witnesses have been examined and remaining witnesses are to be examined.

3.However, on an earlier occasion, this Court requested the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chidambaram to give a report with regard to S.C.No.192 of 2018. Today, the report from the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chidambaram, in D.No.151 dated 27.02.2020 was received and taken into file.

4.On a perusal of the report, it is seen that originally the charge sheet in Crime No.206 of 2009 was filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Thittagudi and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.33 of 2013 and thereafter, it was converted to P.R.C.No.23 of 2018. Subsequently, it was committed to the Principal District Judge, Cuddalore and numbered as S.C.No.192 of 2018 and the same was made over to the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Vridhachalam. After examining some of the witnesses, at the request of the III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Vridhachalam, the case was transferred to II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chidambaram and the same is pending for trial. 5.In view of the subsequent developments, nothing survives further in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
