Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking to call for the records and quash the proceedings as against the petitioners/ 3rd and 4th accused pending in Cr.No.665 of 2010 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Crime Branch, T-14 Mangadu Police Station, Chennai.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to call for the records and to quash the proceedings as against the petitioners/ accused 3 and 4 pending in Cr.No.665 of 2010 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Crime Branch, T-14 Mangadu Police Station, Chennai.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners wife and husband and they are arrayed as A3 and A4 in the case in Crime No.665 of 2010. He 1/4

would further submit that A3 is the sister of the deceased and A4 is the brother - in - law of the deceased and they do not have any participation in the crime committed by A1. He would further submit that F.I.R. was registered at the instance of the wife of the deceased.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would further submit that, it would suffice, if this Court permits the petitioners to furnish the particulars before the law enforcing agency to prove their innocence and issue direction to the law enforcing agency to complete the investigation within a time frame.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor concedes to the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and on instructions, he would further submit that the investigation will be completed within the time frame fixed by this Court.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court without going into the merits of the case, is inclined to issue direction to the law enforcing agency to complete the investigation in Crime No.665 of 2010, after giving opportunity to the petitioners, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are directed to co-operate with the law enforcing agency for early completion of the investigation.
