Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the power Bricks unit run by the petitioner faced bad financial weather leading to closure in the year 2013. Later, after clearing all the dues to the bank, the petitioner sought for (*)supply of dry fly ash to the unit. His request dated 09.07.2018 made to the Chief Engineer Civil Design & Hydro Projects, Chennai is yet to be considered. So far, no order is passed on his request. He seeks mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders.

3. On perusal of the documents filed by the petitioner, this Court finds that no acknowledgment of receipt of the representation dated 09.07.2018. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the same was handed over to the first respondent in person through special messenger on 10.07.2018.

4. Be that as it may, the petitioner shall make a representation in continuation of earlier representation dated 09.07.2018 to the first respondent and on receipt of such representation, the first respondent shall consider the same in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
