Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, Government Advocate for R1 and R2 Mr.Abishek Murrthy, Standing Counsel for R3 Order This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to deposit the redetermined compensation at the rate of Rs.2,100/- per cent for the acquired extent comprised under S.No.737/2 admeasuring 3.28.5 Hec or 8.12 Acres in Katrambakkam Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk and Kancheepuram District along with its statutory interest till the date of deposit.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.04.2025 under Section 28(A) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 to the respondents seeking to refix the compensation from Rs.150/- per cent to Rs.2,100/- per cent on the basis of the modified decree in LAOP.No.1298/08 dated 14.06.2016 and order in A.S.No.314/2023 dated 19.02.2025 along with statutory benefits under LA Act. Since the said representation was not considered so far, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition.

3. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2025 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2025 on its own merits, after issuing notice to the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
