... Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to include B.Tech. Information Technology with 60 seats (65% Government seats, 35% Management seats) in the seat matrix for the academic year 2020-21 of the Petitioner College (Sri Shanmugha College of Engineering and Technology) and to admit students for the academic year 2020-2021 in compliance to the approval and affiliation granted by the 3rd and 1st respondent respectively.

Mr.L.P.Shanmuga Sundaram, learned Special Government Pleader appears on behalf of the 1st respondent, Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Special Government Pleader appears on behalf of the 2nd respondent, Mr.B.Raghu Manohar, learned counsel appears on behalf of the 3rd respondent.
2.The learned Special Government Pleader for the 2nd respondent has given instructions stating that the 2nd respondent will include the B.Tech. Information Technology offered by the petitioner during the supplementary counseling for the academic year 2020 - 2021. He submits that already round 1, 2 and 3 have been completed and round 4 of counseling has started and therefore at this stage, it may not be possible to accommodate the petitioner. He further submits that note has been already forwarded. It is submitted that the B.Tech. Information Technology offered by the petitioner will be included in the supplementary counseling for the academic year 2020 -2021. Paragraph 5 of the instructions received by the learned Special Government Pleader reads as follows: "5. It is submitted that the AICTE Approval and Anna University Affiliation has been accorded for B.Tech.
Information Technology in Petitioner's College the same may be included in the supplementary counselling for the academic year 2020-21."
3.Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The petitioner is directed to give fresh representation to the 2nd respondent / Director, Directorate of Technical Education by 28.10.2020. The 2nd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders, in the light of the above submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader for the 2nd respondent and in terms of note given to the learned counsel dated 23.10.2020. Such order shall be passed within a period of two weeks from the
date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
