..Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the payment due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.2,70,000/- in respect of Agreement No.DR/TWAD/No.8/2010-2011 dated 09.04.2010. For Petitioner : Mr.K.S.Viswanathan For Respondents : Ms.S.Shahila Bhanu, Standing Counsel for TWAD Board.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to release the payment due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.2,70,000/- in respect of Agreement No.DR/TWAD/No.8/2010-2011 dated 09.04.2010.

2. The learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondents, produced a letter dated 09.12.2021 addressed to the first respondent by the second respondent, recommending the due payment of Rs.1,29,000/- to the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner also has not disputed other issues.

3. In view of the fact that the due amount to be paid by the respondents to the petitioner is not disputed, elaborate adjudication is not required. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to settle the payment due as admitted by them i.e., Rs.1,29,000/- (Rupees One Lakh and Twenty Nine Thousand only) along with interest at the rate of 4% per annum from the date of filing of the writ petition till the date of realisation of the money.

4. With the abovesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
