With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the claim of the petitioners for grant of patta in their favour, in the light of their representation dated 24.09.2023.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 and perused the materials available on record.

4. It is the case of the petitioners that they are residing in S.No.588, 2/4

Nungambakkam Village, comprising Rajaji Nagar 3rd Street, Pushpa Nagar 1st Street, for more than 40 years and they were unable to get patta for the said lands, as they were classified as Corporation Public. In this regard, they submitted a representation dated 24.09.2023 for grant of patta. Since no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 to 4 to dispose of the petitioners representation dated 24.09.2023 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 03.07.2024 gya (2/2) Index : Yes/No 3/4
