Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in D.O.No.64/2021-C2 passed by the 2nd respondent dated on 07.08.2021 and set aside the same and directing the respondents to produce the Detenue viz., Rukmani, W/o.Nagappan, aged about 54 years, who is confined in Special Prison for Women, Vellore, before this Hon'ble Court and set the detenue at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.O.No.64/2021-C2, dated 07.08.2021, detaining his mother as "BOOTLEGGER" under Section 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.5028, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 28.10.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
