PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.164/2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, M-5, Police station, Ennore, Chennai - 600057 within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation pending in the Crime No.164 of 2021 dated 01.04.2021.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 01.04.2021, no final report is filed till date. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant. The petitioner is also directed to appear before the respondent, co-operate with the investigation and provide the address and particulars of the persons, against whom the complaint is lodged.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
