ORDER

The petitioner has filed WP No. 500 of 2014 praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents in the writ petition to pay the pension 1/3

under contributed Pension Scheme by considering his representation dated 28.09.2013 and also to pay gratuity and all other retirement benefits to him. 2.

This Court, after hearing both sides, disposed of the writ petition No. 500 of 2014 on 08.01.2014 with a direction to the respondent in this contempt petition to consider the representation dated 28.09.2013 of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of four weeks. According to the petitioner, the order dated 08.01.2014 passed by this Court has not been complied with by the respondent and therefore, the present contempt petition is filed.

Today, when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent produced a copy of the communication dated 10.08.2017 of the respondent, enclosing the proceedings /Final Authorisation No.043527/CPS/2016 dated 31.03.2017 of the Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts Department, Chennai - 600 025, to show that a sum of Rs.5,50,102/- has been paid to the petitioner towards CPS contribution and he has also signed an undertaking for having received the amount. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that the petitioner has signed an undertaking for having received the amount. 2/3

In the light of the above, no further order is required to be passed in this Contempt petition. The Contempt Petition is therefore dismissed. No costs.
