Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, order or direction in the nature of such Writ, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2020 under the Honourable Chief Minister's announcement No.048 dated 22.04.2020.

ORDER

(The case has been heard through video conference) With the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's wife K.Thangalakshmi died due to Corona on 14.06.2020. It is submitted that the Government of Tamil Nadu had stated certain incentives in the form of money and employment to the dependant of the doctors, health staffs, etc., to be compensated due to Covid. Thereafter, the petitioner has sent several representations to the 6th respondent dated 02.09.2020, 10.09.2020 and 28.09.2020. But, the respondents have not considered his representation. Hence the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 6 submits that the representation dated 28.09.2020 of the petitioner has been received by them on 15.10.2020 and will be forwarded to the second respondent.

4. Recording the same, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, considering the announcements of the Chief Minister made on 22.04.2020 giving monetary incentives and employment opportunities for dependents/ family members of the police, medical and paramedical staffs of the Government.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
