Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents 1, 2 and 7 to 9 from interfering with the construction of compound wall on two sides of the property in the said land namely on the northern side which is south of Vanagaram Road and the eastern side which is west of Reddy Street admeasuring 4 acres and 70 cents comprised in S.No.274, Athipattu Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai.

O R D E R

Mr.S.Thangavel, learned Special Government Pleader appears on behalf of the respondents 1, 2, 6 to 9. Ms.Jayantheeswari, learned Government Advocate appears on behalf of the respondents 3 & 4 .

2.Without going into the merits of the disputes, this order is being passed, since the petitioner has filed representation to the 1st respondent on 14.10.2020 to restrain the respondents 7, 8 & 9 from interfering with the construction of compound wall to protect the land belonging to the temple which was donated by the ancestors of the petitioner.

3.Considering the same, this Court directs the 1st respondent / District Collector, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 14.10.2020 of the petitioner by 02.11.2020. Needless to state that before passing such an order, the petitioner may be heard in person. Pending disposal of the aforesaid consideration, the petitioner is directed to refrain from putting up any construction.

4.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
