Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the connected records of the first respondent relating to his order in proceedings No.N.SR.227/85/Nanmangalam dated 31.01.1991 u/s. 9(5) of the Principal Act (Certified Copy issued on 23.03.2007) declaring as excess vacant land in Survey No.206/1 & 2A of nanmangalam Village, Tambaram Taluk, measuring to an extent of 8114 Sq.ft. Inclusive of 5000 Sq.Mts. and the consequential notice issued in his letter No.188/95/A. dt. 18.08.1995 declaring that the possession of the said land deemed to have been taken by the Government and the Letter No.188/95/A, dt. 28.07.

1997 issuing notice to the land owners requiring to surrender possession of the said land to the Tahsildar, Tambaram Taluk, (Certified Copy issued on 23.03.2007) and quash all the aforesaid orders in so far as the petitioners are concerned and further to hold that all proceedings taken by the respondents to acquire the said land as excess vacant land shall abate as per Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Urban land (Ceiling and Regulation) Repeal Act 20 of 1999.
