The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the representation sent by the petitioner's son dated 01.06.2014 and consequently issue patta to the petitioner to the agricultural land in Survey No.69/1 of Periyakattupalayam Village, Cuddalore District.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that his request for issuance of patta in respect of the land in Survey No.69/1 dated 01.06.2014 has not yet been decided by the respondents. 3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that even according to the petitioner, the land in question is a Odai Poramboke and that he has also filed a Civil Suit as against the District Collector and others for issuance of patta. Further, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the 3rd respondent would pass necessary orders on the petitioner's representation within a time frame.
4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to pass necessary orders in the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2014 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
