It is seen that an FIR in Cr.No.140 of 2013 has been registered against the petitioner and one other person for offence punishable under Section 420 IPC. As the FIR is kept pending for a long time, the petitioner, who has been arrayed as first accused in the said crime number, is before this Court, seeking for direction upon the respondent/Police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner.

Heard Mr.Elephant G.Rajendran, who appeared in person and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/Police.

Considering the fact that the FIR, which was registered wayback in the year, 2013, is still pending without any progress, this Court, in the interest of justice, directs the respondent/Police to complete investigation of the case and file final report as expeditiously as possible.
