This petition has been filed to grant further period of six months to complete the investigation, to file final report before the competent court in Crime No.113 of 2012 as directed by this Hon'ble Court in Crl.O.P.No.5093 of 2015 dated 04.03.2015.
2. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and perused the materials placed on record.
3. On the complaint lodged by Munusamy, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.113 of 2012 under Section 420, 465, 468 and 471 IPC against four accused. Munusamy filed Crl.O.P.No.5093 of 2015 for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.113 of 2012 and this Court, by order dated 04.03.2015, directed the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report on or before 31.08.2015. investigation, they have filed the present petition for extension of time.
4. Mr.Saravanan, Inspector of Police, EDF-III, Team-XXI, CCB, Chennai has filed an affidavit, wherein, he has stated that he needs to collect the sample signature of one Sheela Philip, who is said to be residing at Singapore and after getting her sample signature, the same has to be sent for comparison and report and that will take sometime.
5. Accepting the reasons given by him, six months time is extended from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to complete the investigation in Crime No.113 of 2012 and the petition is ordered accordingly.
