ORDER

This criminal original petition has been preferred to quash the proceedings pending in C.C. No.3756 of 2019 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai. Heard Ms. N.S. Tanvi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A. Gopinath, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent/State.

The petitioners have been arrayed as A.3 to A.12 in C.C.No.3756 of 2019 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai.

Already, A.1 and A.2 had approached this Court and filed a quash petition in Crl.O.P. No.5841 of 2021 and this Court, by order dated 30.03.2023, had quashed the proceedings in C.C. No.3756 of 2019 in respect

of them. The reasoning that was given by this Court while quashing the proceedings with respect to A.1 and A.2 will equally apply to the petitioners herein also, who are A.3 to A.12.

Therefore, continuation of the criminal proceedings as against the petitioners will result in abuse of process of law, which requires the interference of this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C.

In the light of the above discussion, the proceedings in C.C.No.3756 of 2019 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai, is quashed in respect of A.3 to A.12. In the result, this criminal original petition is allowed. Connected Crl.M.Ps. stand closed.
