Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extension of Time for petitioner to surrender before the Special Judge for trial SC/ST Act, Villupuram Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.K.PURUSHOTHAMAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.A.DAMODARAN, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondents the court made the following order:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed for extension of time to surrender before the Special Judge for trial SC/ST Act, Villupuram.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had filed CRL.O.P.No.11185 of 2021 seeking direction to consider his bail application on the same day and this court, vide order dated 30.06.2021, directed the petitioner to surrender before the trail court and trial Court to consider the bail application on the same day. Thereafter, since the name of the trial Court has been wrongly mentioned, he had approached this court seeking amendment in the order,dated 30.06.2021 and the same was allowed on 29.07.2021 and the petitioner was directed to surrender before the trial Court on or before 12.08.2021. received the copy of the order only on 10.08.2021, and hence, he could not comply with the said order. Hence, this petition.

3. This Court considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to surrender before the Special Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Villupuram on or before 27.09.2021 and this petition is ordered accordingly.
