Prayer : Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the Statutory Appeal filed by the Petitioner before the Respondent on 09.07.2015 within a time prescribed by this Court.

2. These writ petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to dispose of the statutory appeals filed by the petitioners dated 09.07.2015.

3. Mr.A.R.Nixon, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that aggrieved by the order of the Commissioner of differently abled person passed in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.No.9083/C.P.1/2010 dated 11.03.2015, the petitioners have preferred an appeal dated 09.07.2015 before the respondent and since petitioners suffered orders of punishment, they are not considered for promotion.

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the case directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the appeals of the petitioners dated 09.07.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners.

6. These Writ Petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
