ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) of I.P.C and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, in Crime No. Not known of 2014, seek anticipatory bail.
2. This Court had already passed an interim order in Crl.O.P.No.25871 of 2014 dated 18.09.2014, wherein the matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre for amicable settlement. The Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Madras in its Mediation Case No.913 of 2014 dated 04.02.2015 had reported that parties are unable to arrive at an amicable settlement.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petition enquiry is still pending against the petitioners.

4.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respondent police is harassing the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioners, register the F.I.R or close the petition enquiry within a period of two weeks from today. The parties are directed to cooperate with the enquiry. It is needless to say that the respondent police shall not take any coercive steps to secure the accused till the completion of enquiry on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant.
6. With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
