W.M.P.Nos.22675 of 2016 and W.M.P.Nos.11236 and 11237 of 2017 in W.P.No.26453 of 2016 M.M.SUNDRESH, J Against the dismissal of the approval petition, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent/workman would submit that a sum of Rs.9,12,975/- as backwages is liable to be paid by the writ petitioner apart from payment of last drawn wages as per Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. 3.Considering the above, there shall be an order of interim stay on condition that the writ petitioner pays a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The backwages payable being part of 17B wages will have to be paid by quantifying the same from the date of filing the writ petition till the month of May, 2017, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the last drawn wages will have to be paid on or before 15th of every month starting from June, 2017.
