O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2015.

2. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as casual mazdoor in the second respondent institute on 05.06.1975 and worked till 18.09.1989. Thereafter, he was made as permanent employee and promoted to the post of Office Assistant. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that on 28.02.2015 he retired from service after serving 43years. However, his service of 14years 3months and 14days were not taken into consideration for calculating pension. Therefore, he made representation to the respondents on 07.09.2015 for calculating his NMR service for pension in accordance with GO.Ms.No.408 dated 24.08.2009. Since, it was not considered, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Parthasarathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.Abdul Saleem who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
