Mr.D.Venkatachalam, learned counsel for appellant and Mr.K.Ganapathy learned Counsel for the respondents are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows: ----
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The above Civil Miscellaneous Petition is filed challenging the award passed by the M.C.O.P.No.22 of 2008 dated.23.12.2011. The appeal is posted today before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present.
2. The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.5,71,068/- with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. The transport Corporation has deposited a sum of Rs.8,13,865/-.
3. Today both parties have agreed that out of the Court deposit of Rs.8,13,865/-, the Transport corporation can withdraw Rs.81,000/- and the claimants are entitled to the balance amount with accrued interest.
4. The Tribunal is directed to transfer the award amount to the claimants' Savings Bank Accounts, through RTGS, on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected MP, if any, is closed. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited, Villupuram.

This Lok Adalat award is passed in terms of the above settlement.
