in all other relevant records and to issue the new pension pay order showing the petitioner 2nd wife Tmt. Bakkiyam as his nominee for getting family pension and also to issue free bus pass to his 2nd wife within a specified time limit as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to delete the petitioner's 1st wife's name and to add and substitute the petitioner's 2nd wife's name as his nominee in the service register, pension pay order and in all other relevant records and to issue the new pension pay order showing the petitioner's 2nd wife Tmt. Bakkiyam as his nominee for getting family pension and also to issue free bus pass to his 2nd wife. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner retired from service as Driver from the 1st respondent Corporation. The grievance of the petitioner is that in the Service Records, his first wife's name Ms.Rukmani was entered. However, during Covid-19 time, she unfortunately passed away.
Subsequent to the death of his first wife, the petitioner married one Ms.K.Bakkiyam and such marriage was registered by way of Marriage Certificate dated 27.01.2022. After the petitioner solemnised marriage with the said Ms.K.Bakkiyam, when he approached the respondents to enter his second wife's name in the Service Records, they did not do so. Hence he sent a representation on 15.05.2023 and the said representation is yet to be disposed of by the respondent Corporation.
Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation of the petitioner was kept pending. Hence the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Heard Mr.R.Krishnasamy, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Gowthamaraj, learned Standing Counsel who takes notice for the respondent Corporation.

Taking into consideration of the Marriage Certificate dated 27.01.2022, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deem it appropriate to direct the respondent Corporation to consider the above said
representation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on its own merits and in accordance with law. 6.
In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
